COVID-19 SAFTEY AND PRECAUTIONS (Updated 12/2020)

Dear Valued Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot in 2020, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Hewlett Family Dental has taken great pride in treating our patients compassionately and safely. We have maintained strict adherence to regulations from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Contol (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Universal precautions and infection control procedures have been and will remain our top priority.

WHAT'S CHANGED?

When you call to schedule your appointment, you will be asked COVID screening questions to increase safety for all. When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you remain in your car, and call the office to let us know you have arrived. We will update your health history over the phone before you

enter the building. When you enter the office a face mask or covering is required for entry. Please come alone (children may only be accompanied by ONE adult). You will be met by a staff member who will take your temperature and immediately escort you to your treatment room. We will also have hand sanitizer for you to use before and after your appointment.

Commonly touched surfaces such as door handles and counter-tops are disinfected after each patient. We have removed reading materials from our office to further minimize the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. We are allowing greater time between our patients to ensure your safety as well.

All staff members are required to take their temperatures each morning, and report if they are feeling ill, have a fever or cough. Staff will remain home for the recommended period of time if they are ill.  Additionally, our clinical staff: assistants, hygienists, and dentists will all be wearing the most effective, CDC approved, PPE available. We have added face shields and gowns to ensure proper protection or both our patients and staff.

Although we may “look a little different”, we are still the same caring, skilled people you have come to know and trust!

We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you and every patient safe in our practice. We have staff available to answer your questions at 502-633-2229 or email at drhewlett@bellsouth.net

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friend
